Come together in celebration and support

This is an exciting time to be an Oakland County Democrat. I’m writing today to share an opportunity for you to take part in the excitement. On July 25 we host our 50th Annual Golden Anniversary Philip A. Hart Dinner, where we honor the legacy of former as Senator Philip A. Hart: The Conscience of the Senate.

The Phil Hart Dinner has always been a place where we gather to celebrate our successes and connect with our elected officials and candidates.

The Oakland County Democratic Party is committed to winning elections at every level in every region of the county. That is why we use this, our marquee event, as our major fundraiser to help us support our candidates come November.

The Phil Hart Dinner has had a long line of distinguished guests from Bill Clinton to Howard Dean to last year’s speaker Congressman Barney Frank. We are crafting our most exciting program yet for our 50th Anniversary.

There are many battles ahead of us, including: Retaining the Governorship, capturing the State Senate and County Commission, and protecting our in incumbents in competitive districts.

As we gather at our annual gala, the Phil Hart Dinner is a place where officials and activists can come together to both celebrate and support the Party for the challenging 2010 election cycle.
