Senator Jacobs to Hold Town Hall Meeting on Michigan's Tax Structure


State Senator Gilda Z. Jacobs (D-Farmington Hills) will discuss Michigan’s tax structure and how it affects state revenues and funding for state and local services at a town hall meeting on July 6.

Senator Jacobs’ guest at the town hall will be Southfield Treasurer Irv Lowenberg. The meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation and time for questions from the public. The event is free of charge.

As the Minority Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Jacobs wants public input on decisions being made in Lansing that directly affect citizens’ pocketbooks.
